Renting Trade Association of Shanghai was established in Apr. 1999. Shanghai Economic Committee is the Dpt. Who’s responsible for our business. We are an organization with dependent legal person qualification and are willingly combined by renting enterprises, by mechanical equipment manufacturers, by logistic companies, by finance companies and by guarantee companies.

Our purpose is according to the requirement of building a socialized economic market system, we shall be the bridge between enterprises and government, and between enterprises and society by carrying national polices and laws and regulations. To report and study new problems in management of renting business, to guarantee our members’ legal rights and duties, to strengthen self-management of our renting business in Shanghai, and to promote healthy development of our renting business, are all what we shall do. Our association provides our members many kinds services including agent train, reputation research, information service, market research, project consultation, business extension, market organization development, market information announcement and rentable commodities recommendation.

Our association not only develops renting theory discussions, but reports new ideas of our business to concerned government Dpt. as well. The two books named “Sailing---Chinese Renting Business” and “Ready---Chinese Renting Business” are Published by us. Moreover,we have developed, together with our members’ enterprises, the “Chinese renting website” and have organized 4 times investigation activities to U.S.A. and to Europe. We have managed “renting broker” training class; have helped the first session of renting recommendation and renting forum conferences held in Beijing in Oct. 2003; have co-operated with those reputation research companies and guarantee companies; and have helped those renting companies to provide their reputation security, ect ... In June of 2004, we held the international equipment exhibition and renting discussion conference of (Shanghai) China in Shanghai south Asia exhibition hall; and in Aug. of 2004, together with the Chinese-German college of Tongji university and the Shanghai-Zhejiang chamber of commerce, we held the “Financing & innovation of enterprises discussion forum.”。

There are 150 member companies in our association currently. Called as a “sunrise” industry by the developed countries, renting industry grows up step by step in our country. As a new business, it is now into the field of basic instruction, of production, of traffic, of culture, of life, and of service, ect… Moreover, it has been an important role products’ promotion, in co-operation of enterprises and banks, in production cost reducing, in mid. And small size enterprises’ development supporting, in equipments’ Im.&Ex. promotion, and in logistics’ speeding up, ect...
